About the Tour

One of northeast India's Seven Sister States is Meghalaya. Meghalaya is a geologically rich mountainous state with stretches of valleys and highland plateaus. Shillong Peak, a notable IAF station in the Khasi Hills with a view of the city of Shillong, is located in Meghalaya. It rises to a height of 1961 meters. The western portion of the plateau's Garo Hills region is almost entirely flat. Nokrek Peak, which rises to a height of 1515 m, is the highest point in the Garo Hills. Meghalaya is home to species from the Phasianidae, Anatidae, Podicipedidae, Ciconiidae, Threskiornithidae, Ardeidae, Pelecanidae, Phalacrocoracidae, Anhingidae, Falconidae, Accipitridae, Otididae, Rallidae, and Heliornithidae families.

Day-Wise Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Guwahati

Welcome to Guwahati! On arrival, transfer to your hotel, check-in, and relax. In the evening, enjoy a walk around the city or opt for the Brahmaputra River Cruise (Optional Tour). Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Guwahati > Shillong

Visit the Kamakhya Temple and then proceed to Shillong, the 'Scotland of the East'. Explore waterfalls like Elephanta Falls, Sweet Fall, and more. Shop for handicrafts and enjoy an overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 3: Shillong > Cherrapunjee

Head to Cherrapunjee, known as "The Wettest Place on Earth." Visit Mawsmai Cave, Khasi Monoliths, Seven Sisters Falls, and Limestone Caves. Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.

Day 4: Shillong > Mawlynnong-Dawki

Visit Mawlynnong, Asia's cleanest village, and explore the Living Root Bridge. Transfer to Shillong for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Shillong > Mawsynram

Explore Mawsynram's natural beauty, including Mawjyngbuin Cave and Mawphlang Sacred Forest. Return to Shillong for an overnight stay.

Day 6: Departure from Guwahati

Transfer to Guwahati Airport for your onward journey.
